To establish a therapeutic relationship a weekly rhythm during the first 6-8 weeks is the freqency I work with my clients. After that I like to establish a frequency that feels right while still making strides in our work together which may be bi-weekly or monthly.
Some clients prefer to book extended sessions who prefer longer sessions less frequently.
Remember that you are the expert of you and this work is collaborative.

My approach is that you are the expert on you and I am a fellow traveler on your journey!
I am a relational therapist and believe that the connection we have is the post powerful tool for growth.
The approaches I use integrates being trauma informed, using self compassion, Internal Family Systems, narrative therapy, and EMDR. When working with couples I use the Gottman Method.
I believe that if you have a belly button you have experienced some level of trauma and we must heal back to heal forward.
EMDR is a powerful therapy for processing the stuff that’s stuck in our bodies or patterns, even if we ‘know better’ in our heads.

As a registered intern in the state of Florida, I am a masters level therapist holding a Masters of Science in General Counseling and Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling and I am currently in the pre-licensure phase.
During pre licensure clinicians work under the supervision. My supervisor is Sarah Claire Smith LMHC.
